Mace Macro wins key FM commission for Imperial War Museum

Mace Macro continues to expand and diversify its client base into new markets and sectors. We're proud to have been commissioned to assist the Imperial War Museum (IWM) with the following services to their growing range of sites across the UK.

Macro will be carrying out the following services: 

  • planning; prioritising and organising the backlog maintenance to commence with the new budget cycle
  • production of a 25 Year life cycle report for all IWM buildings and plant through the use of existing source data including the Maximo asset register, forward maintenance register for all sites, building inspections, specialist and architectural reports, and local knowledge
  • assist in the selection, interviewing and short-listing of an M&E design partners to work with the IWM FM team throughout the 3 year capital works programme
  • assist in the selection, interviewing and short-listing of a design consultant and principal contractor for the project to refurbish and improve the roof and facade at Imperial War Museum London.

The Imperial War Museum is the national museum of the experiences of people who have lived, fought and died in conflicts involving Britain and the Commonwealth since 1914. It is an educational and historical institution responsible for archives, collections and sites of outstanding national importance.

The Museum’s five branches include Imperial War Museum London; the Second World War cruiser HMS Belfast; the Churchill Museum and Cabinet War Rooms, housed in Churchill’s secret headquarters below Whitehall; Imperial War Museum Duxford, a world-renowned aviation and heritage complex; and Imperial War Museum North, one of the most talked-about Museums in the UK.
