Mace Dragon Boat Race Team Raises Money for Charity
Media

Mace's Manchester office took part in its third construction industry Dragon Boat Challenge on Wednesday 4th June at Salford Quays Watersports Centre. The event is sponsored by Building magazine and all money raised goes to C.R.A.S.H., the construction and property industry's charity for the homeless.
Dressed in the Mace brand, the team was ready for action. The first three rounds saw 44 teams battle it out on the water. Three boats capsized but luckily the sun was out to dry everyone off. The Mace Invaders sat strong and steady whilst competing against HBG, Turner & Townsend, Gleeds, EC Harris and Faithful & Gould, finishing second or third in each heat. The overall winners were the big strong builders from Murraywood Construction.
Although the Mace Invaders didn't win on the day, everyone agreed it was a fantastic event that raised money for a very worthy cause. Thanks go to all the crew and supporters.
