Gulf Construction Magazine profiles Mace Bahrain project

The latest monthly edition of Gulf Construction presents a special report on landmark real estate project in Bahrain, Riffa Views. Acting in a project management role on the development, Mace receives a two-page editorial within the report with the headline "Mace ensures project progresses to plan". Riffa Views is a stunning 28 million square foot golfing and residential development, destined to become Bahrain's first green, gated community when completed in 2009.
Mace was awarded the project management contract in July 2005 by client Riffa Views Signature Estates, a joint venture between Arcapita and Bahrain International Golf Company. Our role sees Mace offer full project management service on the initial design development; all design phases, tendering and construction of all aspects of the infrastructure, golf course, villas, Riffa Views International School, golf and country clubs and mosques.
Facts and figures:
- Maximum total labour on site: 6,000
- Total steel to be used: 80,000 tonnes
- Total number of villas: 1,053 woven around the 18-hole championship golf course.
- The golf course takes up one third of the development area and has been designed by Colin Montgomerie
